During the United Regional Solutions' Healthy Eating Program, we help you make healthy lifestyle changes by learning how to make good choices and master portion control.

The program consists of 5 visits with our dietitian. The initial visit is one hour, followed by weekly visits of 15 minutes.

Program Requirements

  • Before your first appointment, we ask you to keep a food and exercise journal for three days. This is an important evaluative step since it provides your personal dietitian with information about your current habits and helps identify the areas that you should target for change.
  • You will need a home computer and basic computer skills to get the most from this program. You should be able to turn on a computer and access websites on the Internet.

Program Structure

  • A one-hour session with a Registered Dietitian
    • During this session, we will review your food and exercise journal and analyze your diet.
    • You will be given a recommended meal and exercise plan plans and guidance on how to use them and, most importantly, how to stick with them.
    • You will be taught how to use the Mypyramid.gov. Internet program as a weight loss tracking and food journaling tool.
  • Follow up visits 
    • The Registered Dietician will weigh you and review your food journals with you, while teaching you about nutrition and behavior choices that impact your weight loss goals.
